Apple Bloom loses her balance, and the resulting mess confirms all of Applejack's fearful suspicions. Apple Bloom manages to get all of her chores done with time to spare, but Applejack abruptly returns and catches her at the worst possible moment (dancing on a table). The filly is ecstatic to be trusted to handle herself on her own, but Applejack can't stop worrying that something will go wrong. ![]() It is already obvious that they have no parents at this time, so Applejack has taken on that role of parenthood for the sake of her little sister.Circumstances take Big Macintosh, Applejack, and Granny Smith away from Sweet Apple Acres for a day - AJ and Big Mac are making pie deliveries to far-off towns, while Granny Smith is visiting Apple family relatives - so Apple Bloom has the care of the farm. Would you not want to protect your little siblings from possible harm? Gossip and rumors it may have been, but they were all afraid that she was evil. I'd much prefer to see them happy (sort of like in "Lesson Zero", while they were playing ball instead of searching for cutie marks).Īnd the way AJ was overprotective of Applebloom in Bridle Gossip it reminded me of Buffy and Dawn which was not good. I find the constant failure and denial to be a negative affect on them. On top of which, their talents are already in plain sight. They have these dumb little misadventures that always end in failure because they don't want to accept that they can't force their cutie marks. The only problem I ever had with the crusaders is that they simply won't listen to the ones who already have cutie marks. She is certainly not the worst pony, or a bad pony. On the contrary, I enjoy Apple Bloom more so than Sweetie Belle (but Scootaloo is my favorite of the crusaders).
